I'm excited to announce two new regularly-occurring music events in the central Ohio area:
SECOND AND FOURTH FRIDAYS of every month, starting this week on July 11, the Brad Mellen Quartet will be performing at Espresso Yourself Music Cafe in Powell from 7pm to 9pm. This is a great little coffeeshop venue with an inviting atmosphere, excellent acoustics, and tasty sandwiches. Cover is only $4, and as usual the Quartet will draw from its eclectic and exciting repertoire of jazz, pop, video game music, and original compositions.
SECOND AND FOURTH THURSDAYS of every month, starting this week on July 10, Bradley will be leading a trio for a jazz happy hour at Oldfield's on High, just north of the OSU campus, from 6:30pm to 9pm. Enjoy live jazz and great happy hour drink specials, all with no cover charge! We may even have some special guests sitting in from time to time.
